BIG SAM

Sam was abandoned in 2022 by these two women (Gaynor Griffin and Rita Shorten-Rule) claiming to work in animal welfare, I was left to cover Sam’s protection, food, vet and vaccination costs for over 2 years before I finally found him a great home in Türkiye.

Despite what expat charities try to suggest, there are loving Turkish homes offering a wonderful quality of life to dogs abd they should not be discriminated against.

Sadly, many unscrupulous people in rescue are financially benefitting from transporting dogs outside Turkiye so they have a vested interest in blocking any adoptions within the country as that doesn’t make any money for them.

Transport companies charge over £1000 per dog and they take around 15 dogs per trip, many without any adoption in place - financial incentives and kick backs are commonplace and influencers promote the sad stories to donors who believe what they see online without personally verifying.

Please be very careful what you believe and always ask for evidence and visual access to be able to track and follow where the dogs you support and donate to are, and who is caring for them.
